Alan Brooks Resigns as Non-executive Director

The Board of Falkland Islands Holdings plc ('FIH') announce that Mr Alan Brooks
has resigned from his position as non-executive Director of the Company
effective from 31st January 2000.

The Board of FIH wish to convey its gratitude to Mr Brooks for the part he has
played in the development of the company since its listing.
