                                    Placing

The issuer has advised that the following amendment has been made to the
Additional Listing announcement made this morning at 08.45 under RNS number
0930A.

The number of placing shares was 308,500 ordinary shares of 10p each rather than
311,500 as previously stated. The full text of the amended announcement is set
out below:

                                    Placing

The Directors of Falkland Islands Holdings PLC (the 'Company') are delighted to
announce that the Company yesterday placed 308,500 ordinary shares of 10p each
('Placing Shares') with certain new investors at a price of 255p per share.

The Placing Shares represent approximately 5.0% of the Company's current issued
ordinary share capital. Application has been made for the Placing Shares to be
admitted to trading on the Alternative Investment Market of The London Stock
Exchange and dealings are expected to commence on 29th June 2004.
