Fidelity Japanese Values PLC (FJV) received notification on 2 January 2001
that with effect from close of business on 31 December 2000, the regulated
business of M&G Investment Management was transferred to Prudential Portfolio
Managers Limited.  The latter has been renamed as M&G Investment Management
Limited.

This is not a change to the notifiable interest of Prudential plc in FJV.
