The Directors of Genesis Emerging Markets Fund Limited would like to announce that the Company's Net Asset Value per
share was USD37.52 as at the 14th November 2008.

Voting Rights and Capital

The Company's capital consists of 13,496,306 ordinary shares with voting rights. Therefore, the total number of voting
rights in the Company is 13,496,306.

The above figure (13,496,306) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will
determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company under the FSA's
Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
