GENESIS EMERGING MARKETS FUND LIMITED (the 'Fund')

Board appointments

Following the appointment of Hélène Ploix as non-executive Chairman on 30^th October 2015, the Board is pleased to announce the following appointments:-

o  Russell Edey, who was appointed to the Board on 1^st January 2015, will assume the role of Senior Independent Director;

o  Russell Edey will replace Saffet Karpat as chairman of the Audit Committee; Russell Edey, Michael Hamson, Saffet Karpat and Hélène Ploix will form the Audit Committee; and

o  Hélène Ploix will act as chairman of the Nomination Committee, which will be comprised of all members of the Board.
