Further to the announcement made on 27 September 2001 the Board of Fidelity
Asian Values PLC is pleased to announce that Mr David Fitzwilliam-Lay will not
be retiring at the forthcoming annual general meeting as previously indicated,
and will instead be putting himself forward for re-election as a director of
the Company for a further year.
