             THE NINTH FLOOR PLC ('Ninth Floor' or 'the Company')

                    Appointment of Non-Executive Director

The Ninth Floor, technology led infrastructure management group, has today
appointed Colin Michael Fisher, aged 56, as a non-executive director. Colin is
also currently a non-executive director of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter Bank
Ltd.

Between 1962 and 2000, Colin worked at Lloyds Bank Group, where he was
director of Information Technology. Most recently Colin served as an executive
director of Lloyds TSB Group as director of Branch Network.

He served as a member of the Executive Board of the Chartered Institute of
Bankers and Financial Services Institute between 1994 and 2000. He has also
been executive Chairman of United Dominions Trust, Mortgage Express and
Travellers Cheques Associates Ltd.

Between 1994 and 2000 he was a member of the Advisory Board for the Financial
Services Industry Business for NCR Inc.

Commenting on the appointment Alan Wix, joint Chairman and Chief Executive of
