             - Statement by Chairman at Annual General Meeting -              

At the Annual General Meeting held today the Chairman, David Harding, stated
that 'in my statement on Current Trading to shareholders contained in the
Group's Annual Report and Accounts which was published on 23rd June 1999, I
made reference to the progress of the Group's subsidiary companies in the
current year.  I am pleased to report that the improvement in activity at
Feedback Instruments continues, helped by more confidence in overseas markets.
 Those orders for TekniCal which were anticipated during the last six weeks
have been received and prospects continue to be encouraging.  I can confirm
that Feedback Data continues to trade well'.
