Pursuant to our Listing Agreement, you are hereby notified of the following
officer elections and appointments effective August 1, 2001.

    *  Nicholas V. Scheele has been elected Group Vice President, North America.

    *  James J. Padilla has been appointed Group Vice President, Manufacturing  
       and Quality.

    *  Kathleen A. Ligocki has been appointed to the new position of Vice       
       President, Canada, Mexico and North America Strategy.

    *  Shamel T. Rushwin has been appointed to the new position of Vice         
       President, North America Business Operations.

    *  Anne Stevens has been appointed Vice President, North America Vehicle    
       Operations.

    *  I. Martin Inglis has been elected Group Vice President and Chief         
       Financial Officer, replacing Henry D.G. Wallace who was appointed Group  
       Vice President, Mazda and Ford Asia Pacific.

    *  Richard Parry-Jones has been appointed Chief Technical Officer and       
       continues as Group Vice President, Product Development.

    *  Donald A. Winkler has been elected Group Vice President, Ford Financial  
       and continues as Chairman of Ford Financial.

    *  Greg C. Smith has been elected a Vice President and has been appointed   
       Chief Operating Officer, Ford Financial.
