                    Results of Extraordinary General Meeting



                                                       Date:     22nd July, 2005



FBD announces that the two resolutions, proposed at today's EGM, seeking
approvals in relation to changes in the percentage shareholdings of Farmer
Business Development plc and other parties arising from share buybacks by FBD ('
Whitewash Resolutions') were duly passed by Independent Shareholders.



The results of each of the two poll votes were as follows:



Resolution 1:



In favour   7,730,097   (97.15%),    against 226,346    (2.85%).



Resolution 2:



In favour   7,513,416   (94.48%),   against 439,262     (5.52%).
