FBD Holdings plc ('FBD') received a notification on 24 May 2007 that Bank of
Ireland Asset Management Limited had on 23 May 2007 a notifiable interest in
2,420,693 ordinary shares in the capital of FBD representing 6.90 per cent of
its issued share capital (exclusive of treasury shares).  The shares are held on
behalf of a range of clients who are each the beneficial owner of a portion of
the shareholding.  A breakdown of this interest between registered holders as
required by Section 71(3) of the Act is as follows:
