FBD Holdings plc announces the appointment of Conor Gouldson, F.C.A, as Company
Secretary.  Mr. Gouldson is currently Company Secretary of Diageo Ireland and
was previously Deputy Group Secretary of DCC plc.  He will take up the position
in May.  Mr. Gouldson succeeds David J. Flynn who is retiring today.  Mr. Flynn
has been Company Secretary since 1999 and has held senior financial positions
with the Company since joining FBD in 1978.  In the interim period, Andrew
Langford will act as Company Secretary in addition to his duties as Finance
Director.



Michael Berkery, Chairman of FBD, said today:  'David Flynn has contributed
significantly to the successful development of FBD over many years and he has
our best wishes for the future.  We are very pleased to have attracted a
candidate of Conor Gouldson's calibre to fill the position.'
