Request to convene a general meeting

fastjet (AIM:FJET), Africa's low-cost airline, has today received a request under section 303 of the Companies Act 2006 (the "Act") from easyGroup Holdings Ltd, who hold approximately 12.6% of the issued share capital of the Company, (the "Proposing Shareholder") to convene a general meeting of the Company. 

The meeting has been sought to propose resolutions to remove two directors, Ed Winter (Chief Executive Officer) and Krista Bates (General Counsel and Company Secretary) from the board of the Company with immediate effect.

A further announcement regarding the proposed general meeting will be made in due course.
