          Fusion Oil & Gas plc Chinguetti-1 Drilling Progress Report



Fusion Oil & Gas plc reports the folllowing progress with the drilling of its
Chinguetti-1 exploration well offshore Mauritania.

As of the 18th of April the Chinguetti-1 exploration well had completed
running the marine riser and blow out preventers after setting 20 inch casing
at a depth of 1,452 metres. The well is currently drilling ahead.

Hydrocarbon shows will only be reported after wireline logs have been run and
evaluated.

The Chinguetti-1 well is located approximately 80km from the coastline of
Mauritania in 800m of water. The well lies within Production Sharing Contract
(PSC) Area B. Fusion's interest in PSC B is 6%.
