  RE: TERMINATION AND CANCELLATION OF THE LISTING OF THE ABBEY NATIONAL DUBLIN
                 INVESTMENT FUND IV PLC FROM THE OFFICIAL LIST



The Board of Directors of Abbey National Dublin Investment Fund IV plc (the '
Company') wish to announce the voluntary winding up of the Company following the
Termination Date of the Company.  The Directors have requested that the shares
of the Company be removed from the Official List of the Irish Stock Exchange.



The Irish Stock Exchange has agreed to remove the shares of the Company from the
Official List with effect from 7th May 2004.
