                             Results of Open Offer

                   The eVestment Company plc ('the Company')

By  3.00  pm  on 6 January 2000 valid applications pursuant to the Open  Offer
made  by  the Company on 9 December 1999 had been received for 19,768,400  New
Ordinary  Shares,  representing 76 per cent. of the  total  number  of  shares
available under the Open Offer, leaving 6,231,622 of the Open Offer Shares  to
be placed with institutional investors by Peel, Hunt & Company Limited.

Allotment of the Open Offer Shares and the 100,000,000 Firm Placing Shares  is
conditional  upon the passing of certain resolutions at an EGM of the  Company
to be held at 11.00 am on 11 January 2000.
