TR-1: Notification of Major Interests in Shares

The Evolution Group Plc (the "Company") announces that it received notification
on 4 January 2008 from Banco Espirito Santo de Investimento, SA ("Banco Espirito
Santo") under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules ("DTR") of an acquistion of
voting rights on 4 January 2008 such that ESSI Sociedade Gestora de
Participacoes Sociais, S.A. ("ESSII SGPS, SA") had at that date an indirect
interest in 22,215,000 (9.95%) ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company. ESSI
SGPS, SA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Essi Comunicacoes, SGPS, SA which is a
wholly owned subsidiary of Banco Espirito Santo.
