                   Appointment of new non-executive Director

The Board of Evolution Group Plc ("Evolution") is pleased to confirm the
appointment of Peter Gibbs as a non-executive director with effect from 1
October 2007.

Gibbs, aged 49, has a wealth of financial services experience in the Asset
Management sector. Having begun his career at Brown Shipley, Gibbs joined
Bankers Trust in 1985 as a Senior Portfolio Manager. In 1989 he joined Mercury
Asset Management (MAM) where he rose to become Head of the International
Equities Division. Following the acquisition of MAM by Merrill Lynch, Gibbs was
appointed co-Head of Equity Assets worldwide. In 2003 he became Chief Investment
Officer and Head of Region for Merrill Lynch's Investment Management activities
outside the US. Gibbs was a non-executive director of Bridgewell Group PLC
between June 2006 and August 2007. This followed his early retirement from
Merrill Lynch in November 2005.

Commenting on Gibbs' appointment Evolution's Chairman Martin Gray, said "I am
delighted that Peter has agreed to join the Board. His wealth of experience in
the Asset Management sector will complement the existing skills on the Board.
This appointment furthers our stated aim of strengthening of the Board and
follows the appointments of Andrew Umbers in June 2006 as an executive director
and Mark Nicholls as a non-executive director in October 2006. Evolution
continues to be well placed to pursue its strategic aims following the
assimilation of the business of Williams De Broe and re balancing of 
income streams."

Gibbs said: "Evolution is at an important juncture in their history with the
recent integration of Williams De Broe. I look forward to making a significant
contribution to the Board as Evolution takes further steps to create further
shareholder value and to embed its governance practices."

No further details regarding Peter Gibbs are required to be disclosed to 
comply with Rule 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
