The Board of the Jupiter European Opportunities Trust PLC is considering increasing the Company's capital base through a further issue of shares to meet the strong demand from new and existing investors.

Demand for the shares is being driven by the proven management skills and long term consistent track record of Alexander Darwall and the rest of the management team at Jupiter.

In the 12 month period to 28 January 2013, the price per ordinary share has increased by approximately 52%, with an NAV Total Return of approximately 37%, as compared with a return on the FTSE World Europe ex UK Total Return Index of 23% over the same period.

The Company is taking legal, tax and financial advice and will make a further announcement in due course. Any equity raise would be structured so as not to be dilutive to existing shareholders' NAV.
