Jupiter European Opportunities Trust PLC ("the Company") received notification
from East Riding of Yorkshire Council (`East Riding') today that, following a
purchase of 150,000 Ordinary shares in the Company on 11th October 2005 the
disclosable interest of East Riding in the shares of the Company has increased
to 4,000,000 representing 4.96% of the issued share capital.
