Jupiter European Opportunities Trust PLC ('the Company') received notification
from Jupiter Asset Management Limited ('JAM') today that, following the sale
of 250,000 Ordinary shares in the Company by JAM on 12th September, 2001,
portfolios under the management of JAM now have an aggregate holding of
16,442,548 Ordinary Shares in the Company representing 19.82% of the issued
share capital.
