Jupiter European Opportunities Trust PLC ('the Company') received notification
from Jupiter Asset Management Limited ('JAM') today that following the
purchase of 225,000 Ordinary shares in the Company by JAM on 23rd March 2001,
they now hold 15,047,952 Ordinary Shares in the Company representing 18.14% of
the issued share capital of that class.
