Jupiter European Opportunities Trust PLC ('the Company') received notification
today from Mr A J C Darwall, a director of the Company, that he purchased 25,000
Ordinary shares in the Company on 8th March 2005 at 124p per share and 225,000
Ordinary shares in the Company on 9th March 2005 at 124.25p per share.

Following the above purchases he is now interested in a total of 2,018,213
Ordinary shares representing 2.5% of the total voting rights in the Company of
which 731,920 shares are held on behalf of or in the name of his wife and
children.
