Jupiter European Opportunities Trust PLC ('the Company') received notification
today from Mr A J C Darwall, a director of the Company, that he purchased
105,400 Ordinary shares in the Company today at 128.625p per share. In addition
Mr Darwall's wife purchased 5,400 Ordinary shares in the Company at 128.625p per
share.

Following the above purchases he is now interested in a total of 2,129,013
Ordinary shares representing 2.64% of the total voting rights in the Company of
which 737,320 shares are held on behalf of or in the name of his wife and
children.
