Appointment of Philip Best

The Board of Jupiter European Opportunities Trust PLC (the "Company")
is pleased to announce  that it has  appointed Mr Philip  E F Best  a
director of the Company with effect from today, 12 May 2009.

Mr Best is a  director and shareholder  of Argos Investment  Managers
S.A.  based  in  Geneva  and  he  was  previously  the  fund  manager
responsible for the launch and management of the Argonaut compartment
of The Argos Investment Fund.

In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.13 Mr Best has confirmed that  he
