                              Issue of Equity



The Company announces that on 26 June 2003 it issued and allotted 45,000
ordinary shares of 40p each in the Company as a result of the exercise of
options by an employee under the Company's 1990 Share Option Scheme. As a result
of this exercise there are currently 53,238,710 ordinary shares in issue.
Application will be made at the earliest practicable opportunity for admission
of the new ordinary shares to the Official List of the London Stock Exchange.
