EUROPEAN MOTOR HOLDINGS plc

NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTERESTS IN SHARES

The Company received notification on 16 March 2006 that as at the close of
business on 15 March 2006, UBS AG, acting through various of UBS AG's business
groups and legal entities, had a material interest in 7,127,168 ordinary shares
in the Company representing 13.09 per cent of the issued share capital of that
class and a non material interest in 949,311 ordinary shares, resulting in a
total of 8,076,479 ordinary shares representing 14.83 per cent of the issued
share capital of that class.

Of the material interest disclosed above, 4,371,815 ordinary shares representing
8.03 per cent of the Company's issued share capital are held by UBS AG London 
Branch and 2,755,353 ordinary shares representing 5.06 per cent of the 
Company's issued share capital are held by UBS Global  Asset Management Life 
Limited.
