European Motor Holdings plc ("the Company") was advised on 26 April 2002 that,
following the purchase of own shares by the Company on 24 April and the
subsequent reduction in the Company's issued share capital, the notifiable
interest of UBS Global Asset Management Life Limited of 3,713,914 ordinary
shares in the Company, now represents 7.15 of the Company's total issued share
capital.
