NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTERESTS IN SHARES


European Motor Holdings plc has been advised that the following transactions
in its ordinary share capital took place on 4 June 2001:

*    Trefick Limited sold its entire holding of 6,600,000 shares, representing 
     12.27% of the total issued share capital;

*    Artemis Smaller Companies Fund acquired a notifiable interest of 3,500,000 
     shares, representing 6.51% of the total issued share capital; and

*    Eaglet Investment Trust plc increased its notifiable interest to 4,140,226 
     shares, representing 7.70% of the total issued share capital (previously 
     2,315,000 shares, representing 4.30 % of the total issued share capital).
