European Motor Hldgs PLC 27 October 2005 EUROPEAN MOTOR HOLDINGS plc ("the Company") CHANGES TO DIRECTORATE David Beck has resigned as a non executive director of European Motor Holdings plc due to unforeseen personal reasons. The Board is delighted to announce that Roger Putnam has been appointed as a non executive director with immediate effect. Mr Putnam will also serve on the Board's Audit, Nominations and Remuneration Committees. Mr Putnam is currently Chairman, Ford of Britain and has elected to retire from that position on 31 December 2005. Mr Putnam, 60, has previously held board positions with Group Lotus plc and Jaguar Cars Limited where he was the Director of Global Sales and Marketing from 1985 to 2002. He is also currently President of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, a member of the CBI's President's Committee, an Assistant on the Court of the Worshipful Company of Coachmakers and Coach Harnessmakers, and Chairman of the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust. Mr Putnam has also recently served on the MG Rover task force, chairs the DTI Retail Motor Strategy Group and is also a non executive director of Halcyon Days Limited. The Board is confident that Mr Putnam's extensive commercial and financial experience at very senior management level will be of considerable benefit to the Company in his role as an independent non executive director. There are no further disclosures to be made pursuant to rule 16.4 of the Listing Rules as to the appointment of Mr Putnam.
