EUROPEAN MOTOR HOLDINGS plc (the "Company")

DIRECTORS' SHARE TRANSACTIONS

The Company has been informed of the following transactions in the Company's
ordinary shares of 40 pence by directors on 30 August 2005:

• Richard Palmer purchased 3,500 shares at a price of 279 pence each,
  purchased 2,050 shares at a price of 281.2 pence each and purchased 1,950 
  shares at a price of 284 pence each

• Ann Wilson purchased 3,100 shares at a price of 279 pence each,
  purchased 1,150 shares at a price of 281.2 pence each and purchased 3,250 
  shares at a price of 284 pence each

As a result of the above transactions, those directors' shareholdings are now:

• Richard Palmer 569,450 shares (1.05 % of the total issued share capital)

• Ann Wilson 424,906 shares (0.78 % of the total issued share capital).
