ISSUE OF EQUITY



On 12 April 2007, European Assets Trust NV sold 75,000 of its Ordinary Shares
held in treasury at a price of £10.68 per share, which equates to a discount to
the estimated net asset value at the time of transaction of 0.2%.



The Company's issued ordinary share capital consists of 24,937,280 with voting
rights, of which 670,000 are held in Treasury since commencement of its
liquidity enhancement policy with 6,451,422 held in Treasury prior to this.



Therefore, the total number of shares with voting rights in European Assets
Trust NV is 17,815,858.



The above figure (17,815,858) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for
the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify
their interest in, or a change to their interest in, European Assets Trust plc
under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
