European Assets Trust announces that the dividend of Euro 0.155 per share for
May 2004 will be paid on 26 May 2004 to shareholders on the register on 14 May
2004, having an ex-dividend date of 12 May 2004.

Dutch withholding tax does not apply to this May dividend payment.
