European Assets Trust announces that the dividend of Euro 0.02 per share for
July 2003 will be paid on 30 July 2003 to shareholders on the register on 18
July 2003, having an ex-dividend date of 16 July 2003.

Dutch withholding tax does not apply to this July dividend payment.
