European Assets Trust announces that the dividend of Euro 0.075 per share for
October 2002 will be paid on 30 October 2002 to shareholders on the register on
18 October 2002, having an ex-dividend date of 16 October 2002.


Dutch withholding tax does not apply to this October dividend payment.
