July 2002 Dividend

European Assets Trust announces that the net dividend of Euro 0.075 per share
for July 2002 will be paid on 31 July 2002 to shareholders on the register on 19
July 2002, having an ex-dividend date of 17 July 2002.


Dutch withholding tax does not apply to this July dividend payment.
