Eurasia Mining PLC announces the resignation of Mr Andrew Counsell as a
director of the Company. Mr Counsell, who founded the Company in 1994,
resigned as Managing Director in February 2001 in order to pursue alternative
business interests. He agreed to remain on the Board and to act as consultant
for a limited period in order to ensure an orderly transition particularly in
Russia.



The Company's Chairman, John Mitchell, comments: 'Andrew Counsell has led the
Company through six formative and often difficult years. He laid the firm
foundations of our projects in Russia where we have recently announced our
intention to enter production. We wish him every success with his new business
ventures and express our gratitude for his services to the Company'.
