Exploration Manager appointed

Eurasia Mining PLC 4 February 2002 EURASIA APPPOINTS SOUTH AFRICAN EXPLORATION MANAGER EURASIA MINING PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Skead, an experienced South African geologist, as exploration manager for South Africa. Michael Skead's immediate task will be to supervise the exploration of Eurasia's Kliprivier project in South Africa, where drilling is scheduled to start in April following completion of an aeromagnetic survey. The Kliprivier option is one of the last substantial pieces of platinum potential along the base of the Bushveldt Complex. Michael Skead will also be responsible for the continued acquisition and exploration of other platinum metals projects. Michael was previously exploration manager for SAMAX Gold Inc in Tanzania in which capacity he was responsible for the team's discovery of, and feasibility studies on, two separate gold deposits in the Geita district. As a consequence of these discoveries Ashanti Goldfields acquired SAMAX for US$140 million. Following the takeover Michael assumed the post of Exploration Manager for Ashanti in Tanzania. Previous to joining SAMAX Michael worked for eight years for Gencor in South Africa, Indonesia and USA including spells on the Bushveld, on gold deposits and other commodities.
