The Trustee of the Filtrona Employee Benefit Trust purchased 450,000 shares in
Filtrona plc between 25 September and 27 September 2006 at an average weighted
share price of £2.57 per share.

Following the transaction, the Filtrona Employee Benefit Trust owned 873,009
shares in Filtrona plc.
