Stobart is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Wood as a Non-executive Director and Senior Independent Director with effect from 1 November 2013.

Andrew is a Non-executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee at Lavendon plc, Air Partner plc and Berendsen plc.  He was previously Group Finance Director of BBA Aviation plc, from which he retired in April 2010, and prior to this he was Group Finance Director of Racal Electronics plc.

In accordance with the Group's earlier announcements, Rodney Baker-Bates will step down from the Board at the end of the calendar year.

Iain Ferguson said: I am pleased to welcome Andrew Wood to Stobart. His extensive Board experience and financial expertise will be very valuable to the Group and we look forward to working with him.

On behalf of the Board I would like to thank Rodney Baker-Bates for his dedicated service to the Board over many years as a Director and previously as Chairman.
