PLC today announces the retirement of Mr Donald Adamson as Chairman of the
Company, with effect from Friday, 17 November 2006.

The Board has appointed Mr Geoffrey Vero FCA, a highly experienced private
equity practitioner and a Non-Executive Director of the Company as Chairman with
effect from the same date.
