The Company was notified on 14 December 2005 by Merrill Lynch Investment
Managers Group Limited that they have an interest in 13,527,463 of the Company's
ordinary 5p shares, representing 10.53 per cent. of the issued ordinary share
capital of the Company.

In addition, the Company was notified on 14 December 2005 by Merrill Lynch
Investment Managers Group Limited that they have an interest in 14,167,283 of
the Company's ordinary 5p shares, representing 11.02 per cent. of the issued
ordinary share capital of the Company.
