Regal Petroleum PLC 11 February 2008 Immediate Release 11 February 2008 REGAL PETROLEUM PLC ('Regal' or 'the Company') Third Exploration Well in Egypt The Company is pleased to announce that Apache East Ras Budran Corp. LDC, as operator of the East Ras Budran Concession (the 'Concession') in Egypt, has spudded the ERB-B-2X well, which is the third exploration well on the Concession. The ERB-B-2X well, which is planned to take approximately 35 days to drill, is primarily targeting the Cambrian Naqus-Araba sandstone formation and is expected to be drilled to a total depth of approximately 4800 feet. The Company holds a 25% working interest in the Concession which covers an area of 521 square kilometres onshore in the Gulf of Suez.
