                      Regal Petroleum plc ('the Company')
                               Additional Listing


The Company announces the issue of 200,000 Ordinary Shares of 5p each ('Ordinary
Shares') as consideration for consultancy fees owing to Mr W H Humphries, a
non-executive director of the Company.


It is expected that trading in the 200,000 Ordinary Shares will commence on 9
October 2003 on AIM.


As a result of this share issue, Mr W H Humphries has a beneficial interest in
400,000 Ordinary Shares representing 0.70 per cent. of the Company's share
capital.
