Nelson Work Completed
Enterprise Oil has announced the completion of remedial work on the gas
compressor on its Nelson platform in the UK Central North Sea.
The facility had been producing at reduced rates of around 25,000 barrels of
oil per day while the work was undertaken onshore by the original equipment
manufacturer.
The remedial work was completed on schedule, and following the successful
return and re-installation of the compressor onto the platform, the field has
returned to production levels of around 70,000 bopd.
Enterprise has operated the Nelson field since first oil in 1994. It was
discovered in 1988 and has produced over 300 million barrels of oil.
Ends.
