SHARE OPTION EXERCISES BY EMPLOYEES

We have today been notified by the Trustee of the Enterprise Oil Employee
Worldwide Benefit Trust, of a transfer out of the trust of 58,567 ordinary
shares in the capital of the company following the exercise of share options
by 6 employees. All of the ordinary shares were sold in the market today.
13,069 were sold at 507 pence per share, 40,932 were sold at 501.49 pence per
share and 4,566 were sold at 504 pence per share.

The Directors, A R Armour, I G Craig, Sir Graham Hearne, P H Jungels, A B
Shilston and K P Watts, as holders of share options, have a potential interest
in the shares held by the trust.
