On 30 December 1999, we were notified by the NatWest ISA and PEP Office, of
the acquisition of two ordinary shares of 25p each in the capital of
Enterprise Oil plc by Sir Graham Hearne, Chairman, following the re-investment
of a dividend in a General Personal Equity Plan on 29 December 1999. The price
of each share was £4.20.

All shares so acquired are held in the name of NatWest PEP Nominees Limited. 
Sir Graham Hearne's total holding of ordinary shares of Enterprise Oil plc
following this notification is 45,131 (0.009% of the issued ordinary share
capital).
