SHARE OPTION EXERCISES BY EMPLOYEES

We have today been notified by the Trustee of the Enterprise Oil Employee
Worldwide Benefit Trust, of a transfer out of the trust of 15,804 ordinary
shares in the capital of the company following the exercise of share options
by an employee.  All of the ordinary shares were sold in the market today at
596 pence per share.

The Directors, A R Armour, I G Craig, Sir Graham Hearne, P H Jungels, A B
Shilston and K P Watts, as holders of share options, have a potential interest
in the shares held by the trust.
