Director's Notification of Dealing in Shares

We have today been notified by the NatWest ISA and PEP Office, of the
acquisition of 3 ordinary shares of 25p each in the capital of Enterprise Oil
plc by Sir Graham Hearne, Chairman, following the re-investment on 21 July
2000 of dividends/tax credits in General and Single Company Personal Equity
Plans. Two shares were purchased at £4.86 each and one at £4.8425.

All shares so acquired are held in the name of NatWest PEP Nominees Limited. 
Sir Graham Hearne's total holding of ordinary shares of Enterprise Oil plc
following this notification is 78,501 (0.016% of the issued ordinary share
capital).
