Esporta PLC 20 July 2000 ESPORTA PLC MANAGEMENT CHANGES AT ESPORTA Esporta has today announced that Patrick Henchoz has decided to leave the company at the end of the year. Douglas Waddell, currently Operations Director at Queens Moat House, is expected to join the company at the beginning of November, when he will be appointed to the Board as Operations Director. Douglas joins Esporta after spending 15 years in general and operational management at Queens Moat House. Prior to his current position he was responsible for developing and managing the 'Club Moativation' health and fitness clubs within Queens Moat House. Chief Executive, Graham Coles, commented: 'We are extremely pleased to have secured Douglas's services and are confident that his energy and experience in the service sector will keep us firmly on track to deliver maximum value to shareholders. Our strong operational management team will support him in focusing on this key objective. The following information is provided in relation to Douglas Waddell in respect of his prospective appointment as an Executive Director, in accordance with UKLA Rules chapters 16.4 and 6F2(b) to (g). In relation to 16.4(a), Douglas Waddell has not held at any time in the previous five years and does not hold any directorships in any other publicly quoted company.
